New Festival Has a Name; Now It Needs a Logo

Contest Rules and Submission Information

The logo for Spark: A Graphic and Interactive Arts Festival must draw attention and become a recognizable symbol to the community of this new endeavor. The logo must align with the purpose of the Festival to provide area residents and visitors of all ages an entertaining and educational adventure as well as provide an opportunity for them to showcase their graphic and interactive arts talents.


Logo submissions will be open from October 1, 2019 through December 6, 2019. All submissions will then be evaluated by a volunteer committee with the winning design revealed in early February 2020.


Logo Requirements and Evaluation Criteria and Submission Information


* Professional: This logo may be featured on the Festival's website as well as t-shirts, banners, wall graphics, flyers, and more. As a result, while we want the logo to be eye-catching, it must be versatile and legible in multiple formats and sizes. Ideal file format for submissions would be   vector-based (sag, ai, eps, pdf). High resolution jpegs may also be considered as long as all 

other criteria noted here are met.

*Color: There are no limitations and any colors may be used. However, the logo must look good in color (if any) or black and white.

*Integrity:  Logos annoy be copyrighted material. Logos must be original works that have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images/graphics that have been previously published.

*Relevance: Does the entry align with the theme and goals of the event?  

*Originality: Does the composition exhibit original design, creativity, and imagination?

* Aesthetic Quality: Does the submission command attention? Does it display visual balance and color coordination? Do all the elements work together to create a unified and appealing design?

Submit your design, name, address, and phone number to email:sparkgraphicartsfestival@yahoo.com

If you are under age 18, include a signed note of permission from a parent or guardian along with their phone number. The permission slip may be mailed to Spark, PO Box 1705, Fond du Lac WI 54936-1705  


The winner will receive artistic credit for the winning design in print and other media. The Festival acquires ownership of all logo submissions.
